This shows a couple of cells of the Life Force tiling.  For scale, the claw elements are approximately 9 inches across.  Note that the pattern tiles in 2 dimensions.  This set of tiles is fired in a bone white glaze.  I find the shadows more seductive in this photo taken without a flash.
